🚀 Excited to share that I had the opportunity to take part in the latest "7 Questions for Chapel Users" interview series, alongside my colleague and friend Guillaume Helbecque!
We talked about ChOp, our Chapel-based Optimization project, our work on large-scale combinatorial optimization problems, and how Chapel helps us tackle these challenges efficiently and at scale.
Many thanks to Brad Chamberlain and the whole Chapel team for the spotlight!

I am glad to share that I have been invited to serve on the Program Committee for ChapelCon'25, the primary research and development meeting for the Chapel programming language community.
ChapelCon ‘25 is free to attend and will be held virtually on October 7-10, 2025.
See the call for papers for more information.
I'm participating in the 2nd UltraBO Workshop (March 20-21, 2025), hosted by the University of Lille and the University of Luxembourg. I'll be giving an invited seminar titled "Investigating Portability in Chapel for Tree-Based Optimization on GPU-Powered Clusters."
Our paper, Investigating Portability in Chapel for Tree-Based Optimization on GPU-Powered Clusters," was presented at Euro-Par 2024, the prime European conference covering all aspects of parallel and distributed processing. This work was co-authored with E. Kayraklioglu, G. Helbecque, and G. Melab. 💻
The conference took place from August 26-30, 2024, in Madrid, Spain.

I am a researcher and software engineer with a strong background in high-performance computing (HPC), distributed systems, and combinatorial optimization. I have extensive experience designing and implementing software solutions that balance performance and productivity, leveraging technologies such as CUDA, OpenMP, MPI, and high-productivity languages like Chapel.
My work includes optimizing large-scale applications, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to research through publications, workshops, and software development. I am particularly focused on improving computational efficiency in large-scale systems.
Last update on November 28 2025.
